Protective steel cover plugs are supplied as standard with multiple grid plates. In addition to protecting against soiling when the clamping holes are not in use, they also serve to distribute the increased clamping force evenly in the case of multiple grid plates. They sit flush with the surface of the zero-point plate in the clamping holes and can be removed using the magnetic plug remover.
